Very nice work Richard. It looks like you don't need much more 'Practice'

About the linking to own build threads. It is OK to do this but if you are afraid of pulling the reader away from the original post, you could always just post a picture in the original posters thread. Something like this.

I am sure that there is no one that would get the hump over being helped in that way.

Richard. That material used in the walls, is it the white foam art board type of thing?

# Ian the material for the wall and street are called depron it is isolation foam normally used in the house. In Germany you can get 6mm and 3mm thickness, I came in contact with this material when I was building RC Planes, and was wondering if it could be used to make walls and streets and it worked.

So here are the updates on the Dutch building

I made some extra details on the walls made some floors (thanks Si) and some extra stones on the top. After that I put a layer of primer on it witch will take a couple of hours to fully cure.

Looking spot on Richard, good effects there. The flooring looks spot on

I love the cracked paving and the overall appearance and scale is spot on, well set and thought out. Great build from me despite you saying it is practice.

I gave the bricks a overall cover of matt red, seems good enough for me to start with.

now i need some ideas on the mortar color, I was thinking about a nice gray.

I think a beige colour mortar may look better Richard. The pics show a deep red colour so a wash or two to tone it down may help, saying that, it could just the pictures.

Hi,

so here is todays update.

Yesterday I filled in the gabs between the bricks, you can see the difference in the picture taken from the right side there I left a view spots open.

Toned it completely down with orange and did some different colored bricks. The pictures don’t show all the details. Furthermore I put on a roof and test fitted the floors.

The idea of beige mortar sounds good; I will give it a try.

Went with a beige mortar to bring out the walls a little more and tone it down a little more (thanks Si) and started to make the windows, painted the roof wood and floors and ordered some scale roof tiles.

Freaking awesome! Love it, the textures, colouring, roofing all come together perfectly, once finished this is going to be one lovely building. I adore that rustic door and hinges.
