You know you can still get wooden lollipop sticks if you need something a little wider .....

Very nice piece of scratch building Tommy. I've been keeping tabs on this since day one of the build, so it's about time I posted something....

I do like the thin cork stone work, at least I think that's what it is...

Excellent use of every day stuff.

Quick update on the dio, a little more was done on the base, this being the slabs at the front of the railway station and the platform itself.

These were made out of that fabulous material...cork!

The coffee stirrers were put to good use again on the inside of the main building, on the walls as wooden panelling, often seen in old buildings of that time.

The platform frontage was added using a resin product I found on the internet, and found them to be very warped but this was easily sorted out with hot water.

Anyway this is where it's at, hope you like it.

Thanks Alan to be honest its my first time using the coffee stirrers also, I think they are great things to use.

Thinking about building a news paper stand/cubicle out of them for the dio.

They also could make a table top and I think I'll try and make a park bench

Hi all just a little up date on the dio, as you can see I have started on the cobbles, and believe me this is time consuming and tedious, so far there is 500 of these in the pic shown , I ve made these out of cork, as well as the paving slabs that are on the platform and around the buildings, but I`m sure the end result will be worth it.

I have also started on the figures and railway accessories, I will get some piccies on soon enough of these

Will post more piccies soon, but I hope you like it so far.
