It's really amazing how much skill you have in creating these dioramas Moni! Every one I've seen has been painstakingly crafteduntil it's perfect.
I don't really go for large dios like you & Ron do, but there's a lot of great tips to be found watching how you make stuff.

hi Scott yes it is balsa cut into strips of 12mm W x 15mm L x 1.5 mm T, with just the corners nipped off the fronts, then stuck down with pva glue, with an overlap of 5mm,
