Judge Joseph Dredd , I AM THE LAW!

so this is my first large scale figure and for a first attempt im very very pleased and I don't think I could have done a better job of him

Most figure builders are streets ahead of this so I have a long way to go to get to that level

So here's the pics comments always appreciated

He looks superb to me. Nice paintwork and subtle weathering and highlights.

Thanks very much Amos I feel very humble you think that , only other figures ive painted are 1/12 scale which it about 6 inch and I used the same method as I would for 1/35 figures so their barely ok this is the first time I've used oil washes on a figure

        Thanks very much

Really really good Alan! Takes me right back to the days of 2000AD

You've got the painting done really well, and the face is perfect with the 'proper ' Dredd scowl (not the awful travesty perpetrated by Stallone!)

Thanks Patrick it does make me a bit nostalgic I think I'll get the judge Anderson figure next

Stallone as Dredd more like Dreddful! Karl Urban was much better imo

Cheers guys I appreciate it very much

I know it could be better especially the face as it needs tones but I don't know how to do that yet so ive got quite a bit to learn but for a first time effort I don't think I can moan about it

cheers mate what helped was it went together very well and only one joint on the left shoulder needed filing so I got off lightly I think all it was needed then was a paint job

Great job Alan, as a first attempt on a large scale figurine I must say you did an outstanding job. Really like it allot.

                            Cheers Richi
