Three 28mm North Star miniatures stunties for Frostgrave

    Hi all
These are the latest chaps off of my never ending Frostgrave jaunt.....
As always, 28mm figures painted with Vallejo and Darkstar paint. These Dwarves were metal figures from Darkstar Miniatures and were a joy to prepare and paint, best castings I’ve had for ages!

First up is Glumli. He is known as Casanunda to his mates, mostly due to the size of his horn!

Lastly we have Gormli. A king amongst dwarves......

Sorry the pictures are a bit pants, but the contrast was too high no matter what I did....not too bad for an iPad though....even if it did lose some of the highlights and shadow detail.

cheers all, hope you like ‘em.

Very nice, I miss my WFB Dwarf army.

Are the shields freehand or LBMS?

Freehand....how good do you think I am LOL....They are LBMS. Quite strange things to those used to water slide or press fix. They are a little like Methfix crossed with stickers. Stick them on and soak off the paper background....Cocked one up by putting it on a black background. Once placed on a white background as instructed that was much better. ...
      Thanks for the support Karl...

Yeah, LBMS things are sort of a cross between rubdown transfers and stickers, I've had a few sheets go bad and been unable to remove the clear plastic.
Another downside is that they're to good and nearly every gamer is using them, a bit like Hornet heads a while back

Thanks Peter, for once I would say the pictures underplay the whole....especially the crowman....

Thanks Steve. All the character comes from the sculpts.
                I just colour them in

Nice work Tim, I've seen some of their models for sale recently, the detail is lovely and crisp.

Hi Mick, thanks for the compliment.
The clean up is easy as well, just have to make sure you get all the vent trails from the extremities.
