    Hi all
    Thought I would post the majority of these on thier own thread to stop me clogging up the “on the bench” thread…. So without more ado…Doggies and riders….

    The slogan is in runic script, so the first one to work it out is a smart are’s LOL.

            Can i ask Tim,and sorry if you`ve covered this before,but how did you get that feathering on their Tails so good?!!:thinking:

              Hi mate
              The feathering is just dry/wet brushing with gradually lightened paint from black to lighter black…..or whatever colour they were….the secret is copying pictures of real wolves and putting your colours where they actually are, rather than where you think they are….once I started doing that I found animals so much easier to paint….

                You should be arrested for creating such wonderful work in this scale!!! These are absolutely Fantastic Sir!!! Oh, and as to the Runes, does it mean "We Don't Need No Stinking Puppy Chow Here"??? Just a guess............Damn, they're nicely done..............

                        Absolutely brilliant work. My brother and I had a few wolf riders in our youth but they weren't a patch on these in terms of the sculpting and especially the painting!!! :sad:

                        Very well done indeed.

                            Glad you like them. I am also glad the sculptor never went with the Peter Jackson “Hyenas as mounts“ impression. Funnily enough, these wolf sculpts have been panned on other forums as not shaggy enough, but I think they are pretty much spot on, apart from a slight impression of fatness….
                            The Oathmark and Frostgrave 28mm plastics are very good value..
