Had a quick look but could only find boxart pictures. It would be nice to see the actual sprues or completed figures.

Click on the box picture Dave, it then shows them both painted and unpainted, along with sprue shots. It does for me, anyway.

Tried clicking on both the thumbnail images and the larger pictures. Neither of them show me anything other than the boxart. I'll try the website direct rather than using your link Tim and see if that works.

Still no joy getting sprue pictures. I noticed their ads say they're metal figures. Is that true for all their sets? If so, that's no good for me as I hate metal figures. Yes, I know you can get excellent results with them, but I just dont feel comfortable using them.

Ah, no. There are at least five boxes of plastics in the Stargrave ranges. I’ll post some images for you…..

As you can see, there is a lot of variety in a pack…..and the moulding quality is decent as well. Only downside is you dont get instructions. However, picking a right and left arm, then adding a head and some equipment isn’t too taxing. Parts are interchangeable between the boxes as well, so that increases the variability on offer.

            Hope this helps.

Some good stuff there so well worth considering. Thanks Tim. Now wondering why my PC won't load the pics.

PS Am I right thinking you get four identical sprues in a pack, with five figures on each?

Yes, that’s exactly what you get. Plenty of variety there though so you don’t get repetition.

Another little nasty to add to my collection. This time its from the Tyranid army and is a Termagant. Many years ago I had a Tyranid army and these guys were basically the cannon fodder, they are put on the table in large units, not particularly strong but you swamped your opponent with numbers.

Oh, so that's what they're called! I keep finding similar creatures around the house and did wonder :smiling5:

                        Nicely painted & based :thumb2:

Yep you need a load apparently :smiling: As I'm not a serious gamer I like to try something different and watch a guy on You Tube called Sonic Sledgehammer, he did some of these using mostly contrast paints. It's a crap pic because the armour plates on its back are purple :smiling: :smiling: It looks so much better if you stand in the garden and look through the window

Purple? Wow, must be that green background fooling the camera.

I've just been out in the garden but it's a bit too dark to see anything :smiling5:

My latest piece has been in bits staring at me for a while now since I picked it really cheaply off that auction site. There’s quite a bit of detail on both the rider and his mount, this had to be painted in two parts. Here is Lord Celesant Vandus Hammerhand of the Stormcast Eternals riding his dracoth Calanax.

Try saying that after a few sherbets!

                                Very, very nice Mick.
