    To commemorate the evacuation

    Hi Guys
I built this a couple of years a go but thought I would post these photos to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the evacuation from Guernsey, days before the German occupation. It depicts a mother nd child going up the gangplank onto a ship while those not being evacuated look on. Each person was allowed to take one suitcase, and had about a day to decide whether to go or to stay.

Neil - unfortunately not, they are all commercial kits.

Peter - thanks for the positive comment.

          Hi Peter
I remember this too. A stunning and poignant reminder of the Channel Isles suffering during the war.
