    Wermacht uniform belts and straps?

    Hi all,

A question........ I probably should know but I honestly don't. What colour were the Wermacht uniform belts and straps? Black or Brown ?..............and were officers and enlisted the same colour?

    Thanks.

I always do in a dark gray with black outline, so that they will pop out some what,

but have seen them in browns as well,

    this may help as well,

Thanks Monica. Much appreciated. I think Black is the way forward. Outlining is probably a bit beyond me as these little fellas are small enough and I'm a beginner with figures......... To be honest I wouldn't have bothered with them. But the 251 I'm building (albeit slowly) really does need them.

        glad to help,

as you mostly only see there backs, spend more time on that part,

as the figures have great detail, and are nicely out lined, paint there,

uniforms ,then the straps ,in a dark gray/black,and once dry, give

a wash or two, with, black and that will drop to the lowest point, and

        pickup as high lite,

Hi. Most German uniform webbing is actually brown, usually a very dark brown so it's easily mistaken for black. The most notable exception being the SS dress uniform. If it's field uniforms though it's dark brown. Here are some examples
