Hi Brodie, he's been put aside and moved onto the North African build for the moment after I made a North African Jesail...a long musket to be fitted onto the already large load.

the base of the musket was carved from a Kar98k and the red areas were modified, the front end cut and extended and the back shaped into a weird looking butt.

Wrapped it with two part putty made blanket with tie ons.

The extra putty was fashioned into a flintlock mechanism.

this was the reference used.

This is where it was stowed...later I will fasten the loads with tie down rope probably made from fuse wire.

the Butt wasn't pronounced enough so more putty was added and resculpt.

Looking much better after sanding down.

Thought of putting this build in Planet Figures but the quality of the work there is so good that I have second thoughts.
