Hi Brodie, he's been put aside and moved onto the North African build for the moment after I made a North African Jesail...a long musket to be fitted onto the already large load.

the base of the musket was carved from a Kar98k and the red areas were modified, the front end cut and extended and the back shaped into a weird looking butt.

The extra putty was fashioned into a flintlock mechanism.

This is where it was stowed...later I will fasten the loads with tie down rope probably made from fuse wire.

the Butt wasn't pronounced enough so more putty was added and resculpt.

Thought of putting this build in Planet Figures but the quality of the work there is so good that I have second thoughts.

    Cheers,

      Hi Guys,

I'm about to restart this donkey business and put it in its own vignette. The Afrika Corp dio will have something else to amuse the figures that I have planned. Meanwhile the earlier images on this thread needs clicking onto or are extremely small if only the mods can let me edit them with larger images. In the mean time I will continue with where i left off and also show the WIP of the base, explain the storyline and the title given to the vignette. So keep on the look out.

      Cheers,
      Wabble

I think I will need to start a new thread from the very start to get my images to the right size looking at the response. For those who have followed before and don't relish seeing the same stuff can fast forward to the end where the continuation begins. It's been nearly 6 years since I started this build and just stumbled upon a new idea and composition which also has rekindled the mojo to complete this as a vignette.
        Fingers crossed it gets done.

        Cheers,
        Wabble
