    40mm Samurai Mammoth

    Yes you read it correct a Samurai Mammoth. Couldnt resist him and after building Scalebro's Viking Warrior i knew what to expect. Superbly cast resin with exquisite details. cant see any major building flaws, have glued his trunk to the head which needed a smidging of filler, but the rest just seems to click together. Once the SWAT officer is complete he is next up. Model is the 40mm Scalebro Samurai Warrior

      That's nuts Steve. Who would have looked at a mammoth and thought ''samurai?'' or vice versa. A lovely kit, which I'm sure you'll do more than justice to.

            Prime time !

            All pinned and added to corks , easier to handle. On the right of the booth - samurai mamoth and the left the snow leopard from rp's kuthulun vignette

                  After a busy weekend with the family and then photographing Ice hockey, will hopefully get some paint on him tonight.

                    Not much to show, photos i took of the main body as i rushed out to work, are a bit blurry, so will get some better ones tonight. Basically just blocked in the main colours, using German red brown ( will be toned down once dark washes and highlights are added) for his fur and reds for his uniform/outfit/clothing. These two photographs of the head have come out ok'ish;

                      Wasnt at all happy with the original fur colour, so mixed a new one with flat earth and a dab of German red brown, much happier now, so can crack on.
