Another stunner Paul. Glad you sorted your primer issues. Very frustrating!

Wow Paul!!! She is too cool!!! Fantastic painting skills and I bet that cape took quite a long time to paint too. She must be small, or you have gigantic hands Sir...

Thanks everyone.
The cape did take some time - I'm discovering that freehand is labour-intensive, with a great deal of continuous correcting. But I'm well-happy with the end result - looks believably like a soft woollen garment.
It's surprising how little touches can make a big difference. Despite highlighting the ridges and shading the deepest folds, the cape didn't look right until I placed a pale reflection right at the bottom of the deepest folds - that was transformational.
Her jumpsuit is supposed to be yellow leather - while it looks good, I'm not sure I've completely sold the idea it's made of leather.Comment

Thanks everyone.
Ha ha, no, normal sized hands here. She's nominally 75mm scale, but because she an elf she's actually 50mm from the soles of her feet to her eyeballs.

I think I'm using edge highlighting less at this larger scale, than I did at 32mm scale. I sometimes wonder whether I've suppressed it too much.Comment

I'm struggling with pale skin tones on this next figure. I used some old, part-dried paint on the face (why?! I was asking myself almost as I used it - one of those mistakes you know you're making, but can't help yourself for some reason) and that has ruined the smooth finish there - it'll now be much harder to get smooth colour transitions on her face as a result.
But her hair has been a breeze.
