Got these two 1/9 th busts the other day, just in process of cleaning up. WWII SAS figure nice and easy torso and head. Female 101 st airborne a few more parts to this one, weapon going to need some patience to put together. Will be a while to i get round to them

    Oh they look like there's a lot of detail there and lots of scope for flesh tones.

    I have a few busts in mid term painting but getting the tones right is I feel a challenge to say the least but I will defiantly be watching this one for tips

              Great work so far Steve! though I must say as one who made 26 combat jumps with the 101st back in the early 70s I can't recall ANY females in any of my "sticks" Political correctness has put many brave men in danger! One wouldn't want to fall into a fire fight at the wrong time of the month or need to be carried if wounded or injured in your fall just sayin o_O Sorry about that one Ian ops:

                Used the sand brown as the base, seen quite a few 'master' figure painters use this as a base, including Olivér Kovács (excellent DVD - http://www.themodellingnews.com/2011/11/mxpression-painting-135-figure-with.html ), doubt mine will look as good as his completed figure though !

                  Apparently, the bust is based on Pfc. Janelle Zalkovsky, 101st Airborne Division;

                    This 'one' is off Lt.-Edward Macdonald ( http://mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk/?product=vbust-sas02-lt-edward-macdonald ), conjecture if its him in the driving seat in the famous photo with David Stirling ( http://mitchesmilitarymodels.co.uk/?product=vbust-sas01-david-stirling );

                          Oh my! isn't she a cutie! hate to think what would have happened to her had she been captured She surely looks like she'd have been able to have carried me to safety, at the time I was 5ft 11in, 200lbs plus kit , about 250lbs! If she were there then, I might not be here today ops:........Happily Alive ...Jim
