Got round to applying camo to his face last night. I was away on holiday all last week, so didnt take him with me - by time get brushes out, paints mixed it would be late in the evening and caravan lighting isnt the best. Camo is from an oil based pastel and applied with micro make up brushes, which are not the smoothest in the world, but that addsa to the rough nature of the application. Went with dark brown, as suggested by a couple of guys on FB, who were in the forces at the start of the 80's.

Great idea to add camo on to the face. Not often you see that but much more realistic. Great stuff SteveComment

Havent had much time to devote to him recently, was away on holiday - so built a 1/48 Eduard Bf109-G4 (drying out at the mo after black base coat-waiting for weekend to marble), so while i had the airbrush out i got the backpack painted, custom green mix and Zenithal lighting for highlights and shadows, needs some glazing still;

Also got the base sand colour on the torso and arms, needs highlights and shadows before next colour, had to see how the head would look on the body;

Time seems to fly by when you having fun - 2hrs spent shading and weathering this large lump of resin last night - pleased with the results though. Next the 58' Pattern Webbing. Then i will have to paint the camo.
