    Morning Peter

Another great head, shame about the weather being too much for the paint.

I guess its earlier up or more assembly and prep work?

It might be getting a little cooler, with the rain and clouds?

Unfortunately the office is quite old and has been re purposed several times.

All we have is air circulation, without much conditioning!

Someone on the 9th floor sneezes, and we all get flu LOL

Everyone sneezing with dust during the summer and scorched dust smell every autumn when the heating is turned on.

Have as good a day with the paint as the heat will allow

    Regards

    Steve H

      Morning Steve

It was the same when I was at the IWM - built in 1815 and over-heated all year round.

Bit worried that I've lost my painting abilities at the moment - not a lot going right. Lets see what today brings.......

I hope that your confidence returns Peter. Keep at it now that it's cooled down!

            I've finished the coat:

I found this very difficult. Usually it's just a matter of working vertically, and wet-on-wet, so that the shading develops naturally, but here, the horizontal creases meant that I had to paint in sections across the folds.

              Looks good Peter :smiling3:.
I can see why you found it difficult.A bit like trying to paint two ways at the same time.
Try my way of creating false highlights and shadows and it will drive you mad.

                    Hi Peter
Definitely much cooler. We have had some very heavy showers. Coat looks great. The cross creases turned out well.
                    Jim

                      Evening Peter.
Late in so apologies, sorry the heat has been ruining the paint.
Like Jim we have had rain, a wet late afternoon and a promise of rain all night.
Don't be too hard on yourself, bet it's the medication making you feel this way, the painting is superb.

                          Morning Peter

Looking good with the parka, the creasing has certainly taxed your painting skills back into life.

I guess you are back on track and settled with your meds too?

Yet another Saturday at work, 5 weeks seem to fly by!

Anna is hell bent on going to the Museum of Media Science tomorrow to see a 40 foot scale model rocket.

I'd rather try and make one LOL

Looks like another bright week ahead.

                          Enjoy the paint

                          Regards

Scottie - The lower parts of the hood had virtually no detail, so most of it had to be painted on. The detail is a bit soft on this one.

Jim - Another mini heatwave on the way apparently - definitely won't attempt major painting during that one.

John - Metformin is a killer. I'd forgotten that it takes around a month to get used to - very tired all the time. Also, it's almost impossible to get into the zone when you have a 10 month-old around demanding Granddad's attention. Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Lee - Hopefully should get there with this one. Slowly.

Steve - Five weeks have flown by. The Museum of Media Science sounds interesting - how we covered the Moon Landing and all that. Been really enjoying the BBC 4 series 'Chasing the Moon.' A far more honest and detailed survey of the whole event - Walter Kronkite - '' I heard 'that'ts one small step for man' but the rest was garbled.'' The story of the Apollo 1 disaster was particularly harrowing - cockpit recordings etc.
