Verlinden 200MM 8th Army Bust

I still can't face painting my Tamiya figure, so in the meantime it's on to another bust. A Verlinden classic and a perfect summing up of the British soldier in the 2WW - the v-sign and rotten dentistry.

The parts:



Another beautifully cast figure. The hilt for the bayonet is missing, so I'll either scratch one or leave the whole thing off.

Quite an easy clean up and assembly. I've removed the thread-like eyebrows and flattened some of the wrinkles around the eyes.

Neil - Don't know who the sculptor is, but I agree that it is one of Verlinden's better ones.

Simon - It is a great bust, though I'm finding it challenging.

I found this a b****r to do! Really challenging, what with all of those wrinkles. It still needs quite a bit of refining, but I've had enough for today.
