Morning Peter
Lovely drapery, with the flashes of colour to lift the drab green.
I'll "borrow" the leather recipe too, for some more bags LOL
He really doesn't look old enough to serve, does he!
An OK sculpt, very well painted.
Seems like a bright day ahead, but still cold his early!
Enjoy finishing this one, another bust on the bench or the Spitfire pilot next
Richard - Busts are a bit too quick for me. Not really as much value for money as full figures.
Steve - Great fun to paint this one. Leather is another one where a common trope is to always have it as worn as possible. I have done that on other figures, but my perverse attitude makes me paint it as relatively new and shiny - it would be polished and cared for after all - also, our chap looks like he's been tidied up for a medal ceremony and a publicity photo.
Hi Peter
Beautifully painted. Something quite disturbing seeing children with weapons. I watched a documentary a while ago about child soldiers in the Congo and it was very upsetting.
Jim
Jim - Thanks. Yes, children and war don't mix. The thought of my own kids having to witness what so many have gone through is something I find hard to contemplate, to say the least.
