John - Thanks for the encouraging words.

    Tim - Thanks also.

Richard - He looks grimly determined certainly. Wunsche is the one with the bandaged head and Italian camo smock. Meyer is on the right. The photo was taken near Caen, in mid June 1944.

That my friend is superb, you should be pleased.

John - Thank you, I'm quite relieved I got somewhere. At just under 2 years old, Remi can navigate her way around her mum's tablet like a teenager. You'd think it was some essential life skill more important than talking (which it probably is these days).

Neil - Cheers. All the fiddly stuff is done, now it's on to enjoying the drapery.

            Morning Peter

Back into the Premier league you go, well done, yet again, and with a full crowd too, even more of an accomplishment.

You need a bottle of de bonder for your CA glue, usually 3-4 quid on the interweb.

Speciality usage, de bonding 2 year olds!

I use it as per "Night Shift" a'la You Tube, and very useful when used with black CA.

Looks like a happy drapery day ahead, if you can fight your way through the crowds?

I have been trying some 1/35 painting and drapery, with a wet palette it's a couple of swipes with the size 2 Raphael 8404.

I hope to actually finish one, this week/month/year?

            Perhaps?

Enjoy the day and the house full too, its just been the 2 of us since 180320, and it does feel almost normal now!

I think we are both getting agoraphobia, the new C-19 secondary ""infection" !

            Regards

            Steve H

              Morning Neil.

Ordinary warm soapy water dealt with the 'ouch' though she did spill quite a lot of it on her leg - we have to remove all her clothes, sans nappy, when she paints, and it does have it's downside, body painting being another.

I'm resolutely carrying on with the painting - with four other adults in the house I reckon they can cope with a 2 year old for a couple of hours. On to Max's jacket today and an exercise in lightened khaki to simulate the sheepskin.

Don't forget to show the results of your figure painting.

                The top half:

The sheepskin was painted with mixes of Vallejo Khaki, Leather Brown and Off White, and the gloves with Matt Black and Basalt Grey. I will probably fiddle with it a bit more, but I've had enough for today.

                  Morning Peter

Lovely work, subtle colouring and shading, which makes it look so simple, but requires skill to paint.

Just the field grey trousers and leather holster left and another one for the cabinet.

Looks like a good day ahead with the paints

Enjoy the day and the crowd

                  Regards

                    Hi Steve

Yes, should get him finished today, though recovering from a bad hyper that came on last night - too much quick-release carbohydrate. Trousers, holster, felt-lined boots and an old base.

                      Hi Peter
Am I going mad or did you start this figure before?
In the previous thread I provided the Normandy Pics of Wunsche with Von Ribbontrop, then another 1/10 bust of him inside a Panther turret. Did you shelve the painting? I think I missed it.

                      Lovely work on face btw

                      Cheers
                      Paul

                          One Max Wunsche:

On to the legs today, and I used Vallejo German Uniform again for the trousers. The boots and holster were painted in mixes of Saddle Brown, German Camo Black Brown and Leather Brown.

A bloomin' lovely figure to work on.

You have certainly excelled yourself on this one Peter. I particularly like the fur work. Glad you enjoyed it.

Well, you got the mojo back there, I think.
                                Proper job!
