    HI Peter
I'm not going to jinx this one so I'm not going to say that I think he is excellent or that the jacket front is superb. I'll keep my mouth shut :tongue-out3:

Jim - I'd never say 'never', but if I mess this one up now I deserve to be shot. I would have preferred to use the kit head of course, but this one is not too bad.

Neil - Thank you Mr M!

          Morning Peter

Lovely work and subtle blending and colours selections with the tunic, jump suit and grenade sacks.

Looks like you should be over the finishing line today and back to the old conundrum, what next?

I guess you will need another barrel of Dettol, to keep the cabinet up to date, and the production line moving.

Have a good day with the paints

          Regards

          Steve H

Morning Steve - Yes, should finish this today. I'm very relieved that it's working out after the recent run of failures. I've got a series of Young's busts to do after this, and I've also ordered some Tamiya 1/16 figures for a bit of therapy - I've noticed that the UK suppliers seem to be running low on these - hope it's not a sign to come.

Hope the insurance business is keeping you busy. I spent the summer between school and art college working in an insurance office transferring their paper files to microfilm (it was a long time ago). My mum had to buy me some shirts and a tie. Happy days with some nice people.

              Done:

The last session involved painting the back, then painting and attaching the gas mask bag, grenade, flashlight and rifle, the last two being additions to the kit.

That looks great Peter, the highlight to me is the Y belt on the back. It just looks real!

that is an excellent piece all round, Mr D.
I like the extra kit-he looks suitably laden as a para should.
I can see I need to add more colours to my flesh palette- don't know how you do it.
And the Y belt is indeed a triumph.

                            Morning Peter

Looks like a great finish after a stuttering start with the heads.

You are as ever, too hard on yourself with your below par painting during the Bank Holidays.

Thankfully this should get you back on the right track, as it has already been said, some of the elements are so realistic, they look like a colorised photo, to quote CBS.

I guess you should get your bulk order of this Reedee's head in now, can you buy it as a single or does it only come in th 3 pack.

Always good to have several in reserve!

I can't imagine you in a collar and tie, it just doesn't suit your personality, you're too creative which would be against the cookie cutter way of the office world these days.

I have to admit DLG have been exceptionally good to me over the past 8 years, and I shall be a little saddened to leave, but I shall retire 3 months after vaccination as its time to move on and leave the world of work to the youngsters.

They need my job more than I will, once I can venture back into the world again.

Have a good weekend with your next victim

                            Regards

                            Steve H

Yet again great work. You really do get the faces looking so realistic.

I really do look forward to seeing each bust/figure you do.
