    Andy - Thank you.

Lee - Welcome. No personal visitors of course here in the UK, so John's just wearing his hat for the fun of it.

Jason - Etch, the mark of a true modeller. I hate it.

        Good evening Peter.

That head has turned out very nicely.

        Keep the excellent work.

        ATB.

          Morning Peter

Super start and a kit head too, well done to you both, sculptor and painter.

And some quite intricate etch too, you are having a good run.

Looks like a grey day again, and all the snow and ice has gone, back later according to the BBC?

I haven't worn the old Victorian ball and chain since the start of the new century, except for weddings and funerals.

Sadly more of the 2nd than the 1st!

Have a good day with the head gear and DAK colours too.

          Regards

          Steve H

            Scottie - Welcome.

Andrew - Thank you. With the head under my belt I feel I can relax a bit.

Steve - Morning. Lets hope the good run with this lark continues. I think I'll work on the torso today and leave all the complicated headgear until last. Last time I wore a tie was when I got married in 2003, so eighteen years without the slave collar, and I don't intend ever to wear one again (enough respect shown when donning a jacket - I've got one somewhere).

                Oh yes !
I did feel a bit uneasy when you said you felt relaxed with his head under your belt :flushed:
I have an interesting mental picture now:tears-of-joy:

Hi Neal - Not sure I want to delve too far into your mind on this one.

                            Morning Peter

That looks super and had made me think I heed t redo the bandana on my Wehrmacht motor cyclist!

What base colour did you use?

It looks like a yellow/olive/khaki which is probably in the Vallejo model colour range somewhere.

It looks just right and great drapery too.

Definitely on top form at the moment Peter.

Have a good day with the paints and the head gear when you get to it

                            Regards

Very nice Peter. The jacket colour is very good. The beauty of AfrikaKorps figures is you can paint the jackets almost any colour yo want. I have seen dozens of original ones in every colour from olive green o almost white.
                              John.

Stuart - Thank you. It's a bit one step forwards, two backwards at times.

                                Richard - Danke Schoen Bruder.

Steve - I used Vallejo Medium Camo Olive mixed with Off White. DAK jackets were never the yellow of the box art, rather starting off as a dark grey/green olive and fading to a whitish colour. I've tried to depict one in mid fade. On to the cap and binoculars today - I'm going to leave the headphones and wiring until last as a separate job.

John - Yes, a whole range of options for DAK uniform colours and the opportunity to experiment a bit. The cap will be done in more yellowish tones.
