                  Calling the swordfish done;

                  Just waiting on the replacement rope from the good people at scientific models to arrive, then i can attach him to the old guys back!. Managed to eventually find some pearlescent white oil paint, to mix with the colours for a bit of sparkle.

                      That’s not an easy thing to paint Steve. I bet the swordfish looks different in every picture you looked at…..

                        yep.
                        still not sure on the validity of an old fisherman with a swordfish slug over his back. seeing as swordfish live in the sea around florida and the gulf Coast and he is dressed for the North Sea. Plus swordfish are normally caught on a line.

                          They also live in the Atlantic Steve, according to Wiki anyway….they are pretty heavy….an average one would be around 150 lb, a bit like carrying two sacks of cement over your shoulder…..he’s stronger than me :tongue-out3:

                            Superb Steve, the fisherman is tops, lovely paintwork and blending, I also like the swordfish, nice colours and not overworked. Great models and something I would proud to own.

                                Am told North Atlantic Swordfish can reach over a thousand pounds and travel up to 50mph. Most caught are 50 to 200 pounds. Big fish fisherman needs a big boat.
