      The latest update:

Today I painted and added the hat, spare pistols and cutlass. The pistols were pretty roughly cast so I painted the wooden stocks quite dark in order to push them back a bit. Just the hands to do now.

Thanks Richard - a relatively simple figure, but the details mount up.

I remember you once saying white was hard to paint ? Well this has come out looking superb, esp like the brass work painting.

Danny - Thanks. The larger scales are much easier to paint than 1/35, which I struggle with.

Jon - Thanks also. It's taken me a long time to become comfortable with painting whites, but I quite enjoy it now.

Mick - Cheers. My daughter's a better modeller than I am.

That is superb. I do like these more colourful figures.

Thanks Jim - Nice to get away from field grey.

                              He's done:

Just the hands holding the guns to do today. Again the quality of the finish on these parts wasn't great and I did have to scratch and replace some of the fiddly bits.

                              A couple of arty shots:

The legs sprawled behind him on the right are those of Nelson, just hit by the sniper's bullet.
