    ECW Pikeman

    Hi all

    I realised over the weekend that I have not actually painted a couple of the bust I've sculpted, so here goes with the one - my English Civil War pikeman shouting.

    Here is the box art by Peter ...



    ... and here are the unpainted parts:



    The plan is to continue my learning curve using only Vallejo acrylics in stead of my usual method of applying artists oils over an acrylic base.

    I managed to get a break from the garden and the 'day job' to make a start on the face - some way to to go!

          Here is a photo of the final bust. I'm not entirely happy, especially with the eyes. The colours are a little muddy, I think I over worked the, and shoud have stopped wariler. A bit of a lesson there - overworkingan end up with muddier colours
