Too late Chris!

I've chopped the head off and am replacing it with another, actually a 1/12 academy bust, which shows how small it is.

Well, you've got to be ruthless when it comes to quality control Neil.

I've been messing about with this one, and have come up with this:

I replaced the kit head with one taken from a 1/12 academy bust by Heroes and Villains - just shows how small this supposed 1/10 bust is:

I've built up the hair with Milliput so that it's shaved on top and the rest is pulled back into the ponytail provided with the kit. I've also given him a scarf to hide the nasty neck wound.

I know he doesn't look too Japanese, but perhaps this could be a portrait of the English samurai, William Adams, born in Gillingham, Kent in 1564:

          And why not?

Cheers Neil. At least he doesn't look like Richard Chamberlain in the TV version of Shogun.

                          Morning Peter

Late start with everything at the moment

Nice head swap and sex change too.

Some good putty work on the scarf and hair, neatly done.

Another super day, today already sunny and 20 C.

The lawn will need mowing, and without a prompt!

Have a good day with your new head, it will be cold tomorrow!

                          Regards

                          Steve H

Hi Steve - I hope things on the Home Front are looking brighter - mowing the lawn without a prompt is a good sign that your spirits are up.

I did a bit more puttying with this last night. More later.....

                              ''Orrrrrl right then!'' *

Here's the new head, which I think is an improvement on the kit version:

This was very nice to paint, though I did have to stop and take a scalpel to the lower eyelids at one point. As mentioned I extended the scarf down to cover the whole neck, which looks more samurai-like. The pony tail just has a base coat on at the moment.

                              (* Colour-Sergeant Bourne, Zulu).
