Many thanks people.
Tim - At least in C16th Japan I could also have easily adopted that hairstyle - they knew what they were doing those Japanese. Is our man quoting Bourne do you think? with that slightly resigned look: ''Because we're here lad. Nobody else. Just us.''Comment

Probably....great character in the film by the way, also had a very interesting career....as I’m sure you know.Comment

Cheers Monica. The face needs a bit of tweaking, but I'm glad I managed to salvage the best bits of the figure.Comment

Morning Peter
A European Samurai, why not!
Good start after the putty work.
The snow is in the Shetlands, hopefully it will stay there too!
I found some Pro Arte brushes in minuscule sizes, in my brush rack in the attic.
They should arrive next week
Its a grey and windy one, but shouldn't stop you having another good day with the paint
Enjoy the day
Regards

Hi Peter
Well that sex change head has worked out really well. Shame about the female. In your experience are female heads harder to paint? We certainly don't see that many at shows etc. except perhaps, for well endowed fantasy figures :rolling:

Steve - It's gone very dark and cold here - hopefully no snow. Thanks re the brushes - much appreciated. I hope things at home are OK.
Jim - Yes a real shame about the kit head. There are very few realistic female figures out there, and as you say, most that you do see are either stupidly enhanced to downright pornographic. I do find female faces harder to paint, as you can't model the jaw with five-o'clock shadow.Comment

Neil - Many thanks. I was going to put a layer of satin varnish on the red lacquered parts, but the finish is quite bumpy an crude and the varnish would highlight that.Comment
