True dedication to the art of modelling. The hat braid and badges are exquisite. A joy to see

I made two moulds from Milliput, each with about 12 impressions. I coated the pattern with WD40 as a release agent ,rather than Vaseline as I didn’t want to obscure the detail.
I left it 24 hours to be sure of a cure and then, with more WD40, I pressed in a couple of blobs of Duro.
The first attempt distorted the impressions because I removed it immediately, so I just left it to cure overnight as well.
I sliced the buttons off with a new scalpel blade and tried them on the model
I wasn’t happy that they were not all perfectly round with a crisp edge, so I added styrene discs first and then glued the buttons to them.
They don’t bear microscopic inspection but the texture will look better than the blobs of the original when they are painted.
That’s it for now, I think it’s probably cross-belts and epaulettes next- and I’m still sweating over those bloody Raquettes!
thanks for looking.

I've had a little bit of real life distraction lately, but I have paid Jacques some attention over the last few days.
He got some eyes, some hair and ears for his earrings
I finished the texturing of the bearskin and made the crown grenade.
I still need to re-sculpt the detail on the front plate, which is very poor
I’m still having the Heebie Jeebies about the Raquettes :flushed: :tongue-out3:
Thanks for looking
