Cor, that looks marvelous!. Fantastic shading techniques too, if only I could shade as well as that. Well done, must have taken hours and hours of work.

Hi Matt -Glad you like him so far. This is quite a labour-intensive paint job, to say the least.Comment

I've now got most of his accoutrements done:
I seem to have lost the sword loop and tassel, so I'll have to make a new one. Next, the gun and hands.Comment

Morning Peter
Getting on with the accessories, the bits seem to take all the time, more than the main event!
The carpet monster crept up and stole your tassels!
Have fun making more!
All that wood on the rifle should be a interesting day
I get a day off from sitting LOL
Another grey day, its truly a return of the summer!

Morning Steve
The musket will take a while, simply because it's so big. I'm going to try and keep the wood grain fairly subtle as examples on the internet show very little, just a dark lustrous finish. I mad a new tassel last night, though I know the kit one will turn up eventually.
Enjoy the day off from computer watching. We've had fairly high temperatures and sun here, though an almighty thunderstorm last evening. A sunny start today though.Comment

Morning Peter
Another superb finish, well done, and the Grenadier next?
Has it arrived yet?
Another bright one, with all the red.
Should be another hot one, but started grey here.
Another day staring at the screen, though I will be calling our IT support, in Poland, to see how the reactivation is progressing.
Enjoy the next victim
Have a good day

Morning Steve
I ordered the grenadier, but got this instead, so there will be no grenadier. I fancy something a bit simpler next; perhaps a Verlinden with a new head?
Enjoy watching the system reactivate....

You've done a wonderful job on a super sculpt - quite magnificent!
Obviously I have a more personal interest in the subject matter and that Charleville musket is a tour de force!
And a useful inspiration......wait until you see the blob of plastic I've got to work with on the Airfix Grenadier.
Top Job once again, Mr Day!Comment

Thank you Neal. It was a great sculpt and therefore very nice to work on. The musket in particular was extremely well done, and although I find painting weapons a bit tedious, it came up reasonably well - can't wait to see what you do with the Airfix version.Comment
