Tim - Thank you. I certainly enjoy painting the,.

Neil - The nose-guard repair went reasonably well. Interestingly, looking at the box art I noticed that theirs was broken as well - there's a faint line there and some bumpiness. Makes me feel better.

          Andy - Thanks that man.c.

Jason Thanks also. The comb was easily painted by dry-brushing the blue over a black base, then re-drawing some of the lines with black.

I've done a bit more work to the head, mainly softening the lines around the eyes and tidying up the helmet:

            I'll leave it alone now.

I shall join the assembled masses. The plume painting is fantastic Peter.

                      Morning Peter

The rain has arrived, just as I was going to mow the lawn!

                      Shame LOL

Achilles really does look haunted after your touch ups, nice work.

And your metal work is, as always, superb!

One day, I'll have to try the Day masterclass in ancient metal!

Have a good day with all the leatherwork

                      Regards

                      Steve H

Morning Steve - We had another really hot one yesterday, but this morning it's raining and much, much cooler - such a relief.

Glad you like Brad so far. On to the torso today and a similar treatment for the armour, with a splash of colour added elsewhere. Looking at film stills it appears that the chest and shoulder armour is made of metal, witha leather undergarment underneath.

                          Hi Peter
That looks excellent and as has been said your painting of metallics is exceptional.

I agree with the gents. And indeed, as Jim says, those metallics really look good. Something I find to be very hard to get right. But as we know you have mastered that dark art as well ^^.

                            Cheers

Seeing as Wouter has mentioned it... what do you use for metallics Peter?

                                Jim - Thank you.

Wouter - Thanks also. The thing about using metallic paints is that they do a lot of the work for you re. light and shade.

Jason - I've mentioned the colours above, all Vallejo Model Colour. The good thing about them is that they can be mixed with each other or any other colour.
