    Good evening Peter

Yet again I find myself shaking my head in a very, very good way.

The bare sapling/bush also adds to it nicely on words I can't articulate. No doubt there's a proper explanation but for me all i can say is that it works.

Hats off to your yet again.

        Morning Peter

        Lovely finish, well done.

Its the little details, the bandaged hand, patched trousers that add the realism, and there certainly aren't any faults that I can see.

I guess we are all our own worst critic, but you must be able to see how far you have come over just the past 2 years?

Perhaps a bust next to ease the eye strain?

        Or another figure?

Have a good day and hopefully better light, though the weather seems quite mixed for the weekend

        Regards

        Steve H

          Tim - Truce.

Andrew - Thank you again. I added the sapling to balance the composition - I've since trimmed it a bit to make it less dominant.

Lee - Thank you my man.

Steve - I like this figure precisely because the sculptor has added such details - split seams, patches, bandages etc. - all of which help him look very much the old campaigner. I've got a rather nice Life Miniatures 1/16 figure to do next, and it's a she and there won't be any complaints about her looks. More anon....

Thanks for putting it in artistic language. It sounds so much better than what I said.

                Ralph - Thank you.

                Andrew - Hope I didn't sound pretentious.

Nothing to truce about Peter. Your work always inspires me to try harder in my own efforts, it’s the subtleties you achieve that I can only admire and not emulate
Mind you, I still don’t see how you can paint such big things using such small brushes :thumb2:

Excellent as always Peter. I particularly like the fur pack.. While I understand the process I have never had much success with it.

Some beautiful detail painting on this figure Peter. Must have tested the nerves with a steady hand. Lovely work all round

                        Tim - :thumb2:

John - A bit of dry-brushing on textures surfaces is usually the way fir me.

Steve - Yes, quite fiddly. Glad you like him.
