          That's lovely - the facial expression is really convincing, spot on.

                  Very nicely done indeed Neil. The assembly line reminds me of a lion dance on stilts...have you seen one performed before?
                  The flag bearer pose works as he looks like he's waiting to be cut down any moment...hazards for taking up the standard. Helmet is something different.

                  Cheers,
                  Wabble

                    Well, he wasn't QUITE finished.
                    The experts among you will have spotted that the standard lacked the gold fringe around the border, and somebody on Planet Figure pointed it out... :rolling:
                    I knew it should be there but I wimped out in case I damaged the beautiful paintwork. But then I thought 'what the hell?'
                    So I had a go with the lead foil- I wanted to be able to manipulate the fringing realistically

                          I haven’t really been able to knuckle down to painting the next two figures yet, but I have been able to avoid the DIY by working on the casualties, Fusiliers 9 & 10.
                          This is where we left them;

                          thanks for watching

                            And here's Fusilier 10,ready for paint- the equipment is still mostly separate, so it will settle down more naturally when I finally put it together

                            I've just noticed that I need to add the gaiter straps under the new boot soles.
                            I've 3D printed the shako and the musket, and the chinscales are separate pieces too.
                            time to have a go at the painting again.
                            thanks for looking in

                              The amount of altering and detail adding you manage is quite outstanding. 3D printing as well which nicely shows the advantages of that process.
