    Looking good Steve.
    Have you added shading to the acrylic base colour?
    Jon.

      Nope its just a very thin red layer over the black primer, quite handy though

        Started work on his 'Neck Curtain', needs some highlights adding and then dirting up a bit;

        Painting it has also highlighted a small casting seam, which will need to be dealt with and then touching back in. Its not as white in real life :-)

          Started working on the shako; Shadows, highlights and dirt added to the base colour. Also added a base colour to the emblem which is a mix of yellow ochre and Iridescent white, gold is on its way - good old Amazon Prime;

            Got matt varnish onto his shako and neck curtain, have nlocked in the reds and started on the 'cross' straps, once the oils have dried a bit will add more white to the edges and then 'torn' marks. Leather belt has also been started;

                Looking good Steve. Shake looks suitably bashed about. Havelock looks a little clean in comparison, though I don’t think you’ve finished it yet….

                  Thanks
                  The Havelock is a lot darker/ worn in the flesh. also has an annoying seam line, for which I have ordered a 1mm micro chisel

                          Bit more wear and tear added to the 'cross belts' (if thats the right word for them), Detail to be added to the button straps (again if thats the correct terminology, apologies if not);
