    Scale Collectables 1/10th 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment Bust

    This is the first of Marks own line of busts, and its a belter, comes packed in bubble wrap and separate click bags, which contain the 5 pieces, torso, head, rifle, pedestal mount and a badge of the the 54th, which can be glued onto a plinth, if you wanted to.

    As we have come to expect from Paul the design, casting and fitting is 1st rate, the head simple clicks into the recess on his torso, the pedestal slots into a recess on the base of the torso. The rifle clicks onto the sling, via the actual buckle on the rifle, which in itself is a brilliant achievement.

    The packed Items;

    Torso:
    With Cross belts and buckles nicely defined;

    Rifle stock and trigger:
    Based on a Springfield Model 1861

    Head:
    With the Kepi already cast in place, nice logo on the top, facial details nicely cast with well defined eyes and nose;

    Started painting body and head, need to finish off the belts and badge on the torso. Need to add some more highlights to the face, finish off the Kepi.

    A really enjoyable painting experience.

    This is really lovely! The skin tones and fabrics are completely believable. And it's a superb sculpt! And thanks for the link to Scale Collectibles - some great stuff at sensible prices there.

      That's a wonderful, sharp, crisp casting. Your painting, as always, brings out the best in the sculpt.

          Nice one Steve. Excellent skin tones. Great tribute as well. I went to see the Shaw memorial when I was in Boston, and this is a nice reminder.
