    DF Military Figures 90mm Royal Horse Artillery Gun Crew Set

    Picked up this set from DF Military Figures stand at SMW last weekend, there models are, in my view, superb and well worth the money charged. Royal Horse Artillery at waterloo.

    Kit is available here - https://www.dfmilitaryfigures.co.uk/...Set-p543910601

    There is also a mounted figure of Alexander Mercer giving the order to fire the cannons, Alexander Mercer was commander of G Troop Royal Horse Artillery in the thick of the fighting at the Battle of Waterloo. His six-gun horse artillery troop arrived too late for the Battle of Quatre Bras, but it fought with the cavalry rearguard covering the army's retreat to Waterloo.

    I think i will be purchasing him to add to the scene at a later date.
    He can be purchased here - https://www.dfmilitaryfigures.co.uk/...cer-p551376442

    Anyway the kit is made of metal parts, for the cannon, limber and some body parts and the figures in resin;

    This is a built up version on the DF web page;

    So far i have just got a few bits of the cannon put together;

    Started putting this diorama together, Figures have been cleaned up, just a bit of flash and the metal additions have had the samll mould seams sanded out. its quite a big set when all placed together;

    The 6 pounder and limber have been constructed, I didnt have any instructions for the limber, so a quick text to Dave and they arrived within a couple of days. I have cocked up on one of the 'seat lockers' with a strap, so will need to be hidden with a rag or something;

    The details on the figures are superb, the colour dots are so i can put the right arms on the right figures :-)

        Was going to start spraying the Dakota fuselage for my MMM US Airborne, but seems i have a bent needle, so new one ordered. So started on the horse troops, first up the 'lighter'. He looks a bit Freddie mercury at the mo, Going back to the oils i think, defo for the uniforms as can blend a lot easier than glazes, in my opinion anyway, its just what you are sued to using i suppose. Face painted in Panzer aces 3 flesh tones he is okay(ish), next one in oils

            I recall Hinchcliffe used to make various Napoleonic cannon sans figures. And a company called Pocher if I'm not mistaken. I made some and I think they were generally 1/32
