      Hi all

Just a couple of pics of the progress on the cloak, I also had a bit of a calamity with the top part, when I was fitting it to the figure, part of the collar part crumbled away. so I had to re fit it and then I made the collar into a fur one

So that's the cloak fixed on now, hopefully I should be able to paint the rest of it in situ

Any one want to buy some paint....lol

A lucky accident with the collar.

That tartan painting is pretty wicked.

                    Ho Paul,

Thanks for the hint on milliput, just followed it (not on a belt yet) and been successful. For some unknown mental reasoning I was going the opposite direction by wetting instead of drying.

I'll be repetitive but have to say your work is stunning.

There are few things about Bodi that I find strange .

Firstly there is a statue of her out side Parliament on the embankment.

A fitting tribute to a Serial arsonist .Not sure about that one.

Allegedly she was killed by the romans in the Battle of the A5 ,if they had got hold her her,Im sure they would have fed her to the pigs. Which is probably why they have never found her grave.

However if they secreted her away and was fearful of he Romans catching them they may well have buried her pretty sharpish and left it unmarked .

So I reckon up near Mancetter in the Midlands is her untouched grave possibly with chariot but definitely with all her possessions. And laid out in state as was the bloke at Sutton Hoo.

Keep digging men she's out there somewhere. Or maybe as the Staffordshire hoard was found a lonely metal detectorist may well get that spine chilling beep one day.

Anyway back to the modelling a nation waits.

Ian many thanks, sometimes luck is with ya

Francesco cheers bud glad the advice worked

Harry, No one knows what happened to her, she wasnt killed or captured by the Romans, there was a rumour that she poisoned herself but its all hypothesis. But on the final point who knows one day someone might find her after all they just found Richard III

So still on the cloak, sorry i havnt posted for a few days, been busy with work, but heres the update , the whole cloak was base coated and the shaded ready for the detail work to go on.

So just the main bulk to do

                        Paul

Cheers Tony, I would be really pleased to see a few more figure painters, I think, in this country, we are few and far between

Looking really good Paul .... The tartan is brilliant.

Funny thing is that when I worked in Leicester I actually parked on top of poor old Richard.
