As they are intended for water, I think they are great for fixing pigments and maybe if a pigment fixer is fluid enough it will work too.:rolling:

    HTH.
Thanks Fernando, I saw these advertised only this week, and was interested in how they might work with washes , oil or acylic. Do you think the oil wash might be too strong for the tip ?

      Jakko,
nice find, on the Wellesley - it makes you wonder how many more of the original Matchbox kits are lurking out there.
As for the Privateer, I'm tempted, but I'll resist, a large 1/72 plane won't really fit in with my collection - thanks for the offer!

Indeed. The webshop I got it from listed a couple of others as well, but I decided against getting them too — for now Though I must say I’m always ambivalent about building very old kits like these.

OK, I’ll see about building it myself then, one of these days years

            John .
Think the tip can handle any oil or acrylic wash, maybe have to thin it a bit since it has to go through the whole brush….
If you plan to use only one colour per brush it’ll be a time saving endeavour, changing the colours might be a real PITA of the cleaning involved.:rolling:
If it works let us know John.

Have you looked at Hataka HTK-A282 Dutch Demo Orange (light)?
Don’t know about accuracy or how it ends up as I still have to use it on the same kit as yours…but some forum members have used Hataka before to good effect.

No, largely because I didn’t think anyone would make it, and Hakata isn’t at the front of my mind anyway Thanks for the tip, but I think I’ll give it a miss — my only experience with Hakata wasn’t overly positive.

I did a couple of tests, and silver paint with a layer of Tamiya Clear Orange over it gives a good metallic orange effect, so I think I’ll try that.

Thanks Fernando, I was thinking how the would work for applying a pin wash. All depends on the brush sizes I would think

The AK Real Color paints are for a couple of RAF builds in the pipeline ( Revell 1/48 Beaufighter TF.X for one! ).
The Mig Ammo Decal Solutions ? - my bottle of Humbrol DecalFix is getting to the bottom ( I bought this from Amazon in July 2016 ), so I thought I'd try something new!

Since most of my time is sculpting I am not buying many models to my 'latest aquisition' contribution is this:

I bought it as an audio book - I am listening to it while modelling!
