I considered one of the kits in that 1/16 figure line for my effort in the starter set group build, but decided on the Spad XIII instead, mostly because none of these ceremonial guard types appeal to me much.

Had difficulty in getting this - at least at the right price! Loads of places selling at a low price, but all 'out of stock' - even the Far East suppliers. You can pick them up for £40+ on Amazon. but eventually found one at a reasonable price ( not ebay! ) Just waiting for a 1/72 Seahawk, and I will actually start making some carrier birds. I've given up ( for the moment ) on a 1/72 Scimitar!

Where can I get one Dave?

My second hand ebay won Scimitar arrived last week. It was expensive but with no release in sight I felt I could justify it! I also got £10 off it which lessened the blow.

Build it for the starter set group build — it says so right on the box that it’s “for the beginner”

Not the cheapest cutters, but boy do the cut cleanly, my old cheap pair will be used for cutting the main plastic on the sprues.
Adhesive for trees,, better than the hairspray.

Your welcome Peter, can't be too careful, mind you I think only members can see the photos in large size.

My next victim, and a few primers to try out.

Unfortunately SMS only had enormous bottles of levelling thinner in stock so will have to see how I go with the regular one for now. My son needed a dark wash for his miniature painting so it gave me an excuse to try one out :smiling5:

I've admired the A-10 since I was a kid so it was on my wishlist of models to build. Need to scratch my head now and think about what's next.
