Good to see you doing your bit to support the international modelling businesses Bob:smiling5:

I’d take any of them kits all day long, if I didn’t already have Dragons Hummel and Nashorn I’d of picked up Tamiya’s versions without doubt....they look great.

Just after buying this we were having a chat outside when a Spitfire flew over and gave us a display for a few minutes! Presumably one of the BBMF Spits. Great sight and sound.

        Edit: it was the BBMF. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=battle of britain memorial flight (official)&ref=eyJzaWQiOiIwLjU3MDk3MjA0NzA3MTc2NTk iLCJxcyI6IkpUVkNKVEl5WW1GMGRHeGxKVEl3YjJZbE1qQmljb WwwWVdsdUpUSXdiV1Z0YjNKcFlXd2xNakJtYkdsbmFIUWxNakF vYjJabWFXTnBZV3dwSlRJeUpUVkUiLCJndiI6ImJlZTA5ZjkzZ mE3MzJjZmE1OWExY2I2ZDlmNDUwZDM4OTI0MjRlNDkiLCJlbnR faWRzIjpbXSwiYnNpZCI6IjQwZThiMWUwMjc2NTM2YWMyOTIxN jE3YmZmYjI3MjAyIiwicHJlbG9hZGVkX2VudGl0eV9pZHMiOm5 1bGwsInByZWxvYWRlZF9lbnRpdHlfdHlwZSI6bnVsbCwicmVmI joiYnJfdGYiLCJjc2lkIjpudWxsLCJoaWdoX2NvbmZpZGVuY2V fYXJndW1lbnQiOm51bGwsImNsaWVudF90aW1lX21zIjoxNTYxM zAwODcwNjQ0fQ&epa=SEARCH_BOX

That's a fantastic painting of the Lancaster flying low of a dyke, would't mind a copy of that on the FB Page .

The Nashorn looks another nice offering, esp in that winter coat.

Very nice, but not exactly cheap. Ask Ron if he'll dash you off a copy.

I was going to say, “Where’s the dyke?” but then I remembered that in some parts of England, a dyke is something dug into the ground, rather than an embankment on top of it (Both meanings having the same origin as the English verb “to dig”.)

A museum I do some volunteer work for every so often has a similar Lancaster image (I suspect by the same artist) on a wall, about three or four metres wide as I recall.

                  Hi Si, John and Al

Its partly paid for by selling kits and some books on ebay! Also looking at a dragon Marder H! The Hummel looks superb, the instruction book is a work of art!

We actually have in the fens the raised version as well , remember the Dutch did help with a lot of the reclaiming and drainage of the low lying fens of south Lincolnshire. Before the advent of steam pumps many were pumped by wind power.

You can STILL get bargains on ebay, but you really have to spend a lot of time trawling through the listings ( and really stick to a price limit ).
When I first used ebay ( nearly 15 years ago ), it was mainly auctions, by private individuals, or garden shed businesses - now it's predominantly outlets for the major retailers ( not that there's anything wrong with that ) - but those auctions can still be found!

Here is the next one for the bench. Made plenty of 1/72s in the past, so I thought I would have a go at a big 'un. Got to finish the 1/32 mosquito first. It will probably be brush painted like the Mossie as I need to save up for a booth for airbrushing as they don't come cheap. Click image for larger version
