Simon. I’m surprised you have never seen these.
Hi Lee - I’ve seen the kits of course. Built a lot of them and still have a lot in the stash (picked up loads of them cheap when Beatties shops died) , but they are all marketed purely as ESCI not Aurora

Good thing is that a lot of them are still available just now under the Italeri brand name

They were sold only as ESCI kits in Europe, I think. In North America, ESCI kits got reboxed under different brand names, including apparently Aurora. I didn’t know that either, I thought they were only sold under the AMT/Ertl name (since Ertl once owned a majority share in ESCI, and also owned the AMT brand).

Good buy on those two tweezers. Nice books on the Soviet Heavy tanks, really like the work of Steven J. Zaloga

I bought this huge kit when it came out in the mid '70's . I got as far as putting the hull together. After that it simply vanished.

Recently I had a hankering to get me another, but at over £100 for this large scale 'Constitution', forget it!

I've finally managed to get one. 1/96 scale (92cm long) for £25 incl. P/P! Me Happy Bunny 'cos the lot smaller scale versions cost at least that much.

So the old boy did well then, I don't believe it when saw them just laying there and when he told me the price and said is that ok.
                          I'm certainly a happy bunny.

Panzer Colours - I got the hardback versions way back in 1989 for £10.95 each according to the price tags

Ron - that is some floaty thing at nearly a metre long :surprised:

Hi Ron, now that's what I call a ship, what a dio that would make, all tied up at the quayside ready for departure with crate's and people everywhere .

                                Thanks chaps.
                                The problem is.

When one gets to a certain age, one starts to wonder if one has enough years left to complete the build of such a huge sailing ship....Doesn't one?!... :fearful:
