    Richard,
you'll have to treat this as a short run kit - I seem to remember that it is a 'flat pack' model, with an all built up fuselage. You have to make sure of the fit, without damaging the external corrugations - a bit like a bigger Ju-52!

      Brace yourselves men .
Now I'm not going to blame anyone for this second part of a purchase of some Russian Armour, but a certain gentleman from Up North, pmd me to say he'd seen a great sale at Creative Models of Russian stuff. How right he was !

But first from SMS this morning came .

Mixed with water you can make up quite a large amount, and cheaper than buying the same amount of premixed . The plus side is your able to mix according to the strength required.

Bit of stocking up with the 4 BO , but hopefully those blues will enable me to get the right mix for the odd paint job on the T34 . Black of course soon gets used up, so a back up .

Next from Evil bay came some glue, just about to run out.

Now I know the mere mention of MiniArt one time caused panic and nightmares, but therapy and Matron have helped me get over the mention of the name.

No doubt I shall receive some abuse from the Father Land V2 section, mainly because I've ripped him over buying kits. The lastest " It isn't a full kit " . Well this is a full kit, but there comes a time when all sense goes out of the window.
A price at 40% off is not to be missed.

Hi John, I see you're going with pro airbrush cleaners. Will have to check out the LHS if they stock them. I use Windex window cleaner for my acrylics and the normal industrial thinner to flush the brushes. You love Ruskie hardware and there are some nice pieces. Favorite is the SU-100 and 122. This batch will keep you occupied and in the house where management can keep an eye on you. :smiling5:

        Cheers,
        Richard

Dave, if it's anything like Ikea it'll build up nicely. :smiling2: I did a read up on some build blogs and advise is to clean up from the inside and dry fit extensively to avoid obliterating the corrugated detail.

          Cheers,

Well, after helping John to spend his money it would have been rude not to buy a few kits as well, given the substantial discounts (ÂŁ95 off normal prices).....

Credit card in meltdown, I will have to eat the cardboard box they were shipped in and I won't live long enough to actually build them all but hey, a bargain is a bargain :smiling4:

I will address Simon and you as you both seem to have made some great purchases and did save a lot of cash in the process. I have been a good boy and not purchased a damn thing.

Simon, you will love the Mercedes 1500 when you get around to building it. I had the one with the barrels, cans and baskets and sold it in a stash purge a few years ago. I wish I hadn't though! That whole lot is just fantastic Sir and as our own Scottie says about buying "you can't take it with you when you go"...…..

Well John, it looks like you are going to be busy for a while buddy. A nice haul and an alu barrel for the KVII to boot. What do dried rations taste like???

BTW, what kind of fruits are you going to get for it now that you have the barrel??? Apples, Oranges, Grapes???

I guess I'm lucky that the Sale was on the Insel and not here in the Fatherland or I'd be on bread and water for the rest of my life!!!

Managed to avoid further spending this time. But had a delivery today from last weeks spending spree:smiling4:

Mostly painting supplies but to make the most of postage cost I added this combo kit to the basket.
They are small but look cool
I like the Mig-21’s and have a 1:48 version on my birthday list!

Still better than what you sometimes see, that they put it in a cardboard box. I seem to remember my father receiving a hose coupling or something like that a few years ago, in a box that could have held a hundred. But yeah, why didn’t they just take a regular-sized envelope and put the item in there, then reinforce it all with some packing tape?

Infinity CRplus 2 in 1. Cracking price from SMS. Haven't seen it cheaper anywhere else and once I'd weighed in my points etc it was even better.

Also took advantage of the free delivery to get a large bottle of MRLT. This has to go via courier which would normally make it pricey. Also restocked a few paints, got some fancy masking putty to try, and a chrome pen for the trims on my Miura build.

Nice haul there Sir!!! I guess the modelling world isn't a safe place anymore with that Hissy Stick. Do you have to go to school for 6 weeks to learn how to use it???

lol Allen. There was a brass rod included in the kit that I couldn't figure out. Turns out it's a tool for adjusting the trigger tension. Fancy :smiling5:

Not sure it'll make me any better but it certainly produces a much much finer line than the one I've been using at around 1/10th the price! And feisty too. Even with the same 0.2mm nozzle can hose out some paint.

Looking forward to giving it a proper test but that will have to wait until the next model, which I still haven't bought or even decided on!

Chrome pen is a beauty too. Just done the headlamp reflectors on the T-28 and they are blingtastic.
