Water jet? The blue thing sticking out the top looks to be an electric motor, so I suppose it drives a propeller inside the grey tube that sucks in water through one end and pushes it out the other?

Just bought a kit form services TQ-207 kit. I’ve always admired their kits of the wheeled post war vehicles but the cost and the nature the kits have made me wonder if I could do them justice.
This is their cheapest kit and will allow me to see if I can do it justice, then I can expand on to the other kits the ferret and airportable Land Rover are favourites.
Kit Form Services is one of the most established 1/24th model truck kit suppliers in the market, and over the last decade has also developed a growing range of high quality 1/24th scale Classic British Military Vehicle kits and accessories. We continue to grow this exciting range of kits and accessories.Comment

Went to an airshow Saturday and apart from seeing some splendid planes and flying, I also found some more reference books on sale:
The He-111 book was €20 but I wanted it for a Revell kit I have, the Bridge too Far book is a great read and the other Squadron ones were €5 each Wildcat was in wrong box but seller said you’re lucky you can have it for €5 (was €10).
Fell through though for some kits (yes weak I know:tongue-out3, the Airfix and Crown are from 1974 and 1975, bought the micro’s to support the Fokker G1 organisation a bit:
Didn’t cost a lot though, €17 in total and old kits can be some fun too:smiling4:.Comment

I was looking for LED light bulbs on Amazon, found them, then needed to find something else to bring me up to £20 - for free postage - found these
For ....................... £7.74!!! They are the ICM figures, reboxed, and the box says 12 figures, and 451 parts - loads of accessories. I've been wanting to improve my ( virtually non-existent ) figure painting, and at that price..................

Had a bit of a splurge at Scale Model Shop in an effort to combat my usual post-holiday blues. Postie tried delivering them on Saturday but we were still in the middle of our nightmare 17 hour drive home, so I picked them up from the sorting office this morning.
Firstly, for the Stug GB later in the year:

I couldn't decide between these two for the recon GB so ordered both:

A few cheap add ons:

Building up my collection of plastic as I have a few things in mind for the future, plus a free sheet kindly thrown in by John:

A few paints and a small selection of oilbrushers to try. After hearing good things about them, from Simon on here and elsewhere around the web I figured I'd give them a go. Hopefully they dry more quickly than the cheap oils I'm currently using that can take up to a week, even for thin layers!

And also in the parcel, I was fortunate enough to nab one of the faulty AK weathering pencil sets John was giving away. Many thanks again to John for that, and the second picture shows the issue with them. I only picked one out of the box to take a look! Nothing a bit of tape or maybe a coat of varnish won't cure though.

Another one of those "throw a €0.79 higher bid on an item in the last few seconds on evilbay"...……………………..Yup, and win the thing too!!! It goes with the one from last week and for under €15,

And of course some needed things for a scratchy build and a set of resin tires for a Steyr 1500A in the stash that didn't have any. Love the winter chains on them,

And the €10 price for them was nice too...……………...…………...Comment
