Decided that my bench was a tip so I used my Christmas bonus and the money I have saved since giving up smoking and ordered this lot from John.

Well, with the Gloster E28/39, the Meteor and the Vampire all having nosewheel undercarriage, you would have thought that Supermarine would have followed the trend! However, as the Attacker was developed from the Spiteful, Supermarine used the Spiteful jigs & tooling, to save time & money. At that time, jet development was rapid, and it was evident that early aircraft would have a limited service life, so maybe Supermarine were right in retaining the tailwheel.
