Despite not getting in the shed or even on the forum much recently I still managed to squeeze in a bit of retail therapy! I got this beauty off e bay - Mini hobby ( trumpeter) Mil mi 24 Hind in 1/48 scale -£10.23 buy it now , free postage ! Only thing is it came from Hong Kong so it took two and a half weeks to come and looked like the captain of the cargo plane had been using it as a seat cushion!! Anyways the kit survived pretty much intact , except for the canopy which has a crack in it , hopefully i can repair it and polish it up . Its a lovely looking kit , cockpit is a bit simplified but a good starting point and the rest is nicely detailed. Comes with parts and decal options for Hind D or Hind FClick image for larger version

I already have Vol II, and with the modern Russian models I've got lined up, I thought I'd better refill the paint locker.....................

Tony. I've always loved the menacing look of the Hind. Way better than the Cobra or Apache

I'll be keeping an eye out for you building this. After doing the 1/72 I'd like a stab at a larger Hind. The 1/35 Trumpeter looks lovely but is many dollar!

Is that their new-tool Stuka or the very old one?

According to Scalemates, it was a new tool in 2016, with new parts added in 2017. Seems pretty new to me!

By the product number, but then I could have looked that up myself and saved you the trouble

If you do open the box it’s easy to tell old Airfix from new: if it has rectangular sprues that enclose the parts, then it’s new, while if the parts are attached to sprues that only sit between the parts, it’s old. Well, that, and the general finesse of the parts

Ordered these two from Keith at Victory Models.Lovely castings and great fit of parts.
Excellent details on the Hussar particularly.
                          Well pleased.

A minor setback in my "No Kit" rehabilitation, but for the prices, I couldn't resist (I'm weak) these two and one more…..

For €23 delivered and for a future project,
