      Good book Pete :thumb2:

That one, the diorama one in the same series and the verlinden way books are where I learnt most of my modelling

His 'Road to Damascus' with the M51 Sherman has always been my favourite, even if the IDF never used Dragon Wagons

Pete, I second what Simon says...cut my teeth on those very same books and you're never too old to learn. :smiling2:

        Cheers,

Something different. £4.46 from eBay - manufactured in China but a UK supplier. For applying CA glue very precisely - saw it somewhere. Disposable as so cheap.

With the mojo crawing back after a little lull, I wanted to get one of the Kittyhawks JR built last.
Got me another version but mostly the same kit and some other bargains in a shop a couple of days ago, here goes the no kits streak:tongue-out3: ( yes very weak willed):

Also getting some new colours and restocking some from another shop, they didn’t had the 60ml gloss bottles, this big one (500ml) will last me a year or so:

3 times the price, 8 times the amount of varnish…with the shopkeeper saying: ’’ I never thought we’d sell these but they are in high demand’’:smiling5:

<sarcasm>Yes, very surprising those bottles sell well …</sarcasm> Maybe for the same reason I bought a one litre bottle of Halfords windscreen wiper fluid for €1.99 instead of a 250 ml bottle of Tamiya thinner for €7.95 (or whatever that costs nowadays)?

Jim, if you can undo part of the coiled wire and snip off the sharp end, they make good antennae. I had a number of these stuck into me once...didn't feel a thing. You'll be surprised where the needle goes to cure ear aches. :smiling2:

                    Cheers,

At least when I get around to it there will only be wheels and no tracks.

Hi Monica, it's Glycerine, you use it mixed with warm water and soak leaves or flowers in it. The Glycerine and water soak into the plant and after it's removed from the mix and dried it will remain soft , and not go hard and break up .HSH
