After vowing that I'd never try another 1/16 MiniArt figure ( never managed to finish one yet ), I've been tempted, by the figures from Mr Day, and a good price at auction on ebay.................Click image for larger version

At least I don't have to follow the painting guide exactly - I haven't seen any contemporary colour photographs from this period!
Just as well, I don't fancy painting that border on the shield!

                Hi all

So this arrived last week during half term, to help with my 'Hunters and Hunted' collection. By a very strange coincidence the author and I share the same name!!!!

                  Evening All,

Just got back from a show in Fürstenfeldbruck which is west of Munich a bit. Not a lot of sellers, but I did manage to get a few things. 6 to be exact and not what I had hoped to find. No one had any RP Toolz stuff, but...

Some good quality small drill bits and the first set included the pin vise with it. New putty as the AV putty I have is pretty useless. The 4th and 5th items were reference books,

A fantastic find with 366+ pages and many color profiles, all in English. K. Münch is a leading authority on WW2 history and has a massive collection of original photos and info too. Next up,

The first volume from my V2 reference and info source, Volker Ruff. I'll get him to sign it too. Lastly was an impulse purchase and went against my rule of 'No Kits', but for a price of €25 and the coaxing of my friend Thorsten, I had to snatch one up.....I know, I need more therapy and don't start laughing over this,

No, I'm not going over to the wing thingy side, but the price was right. Normally sells for €35 or more…….

I also have pics from the clubs and from the competition. I will try and post them later under the correct forum.

                  Prost

Damit. Only went into the model shop for a pot of paint and walked out with this. Ill call it a leap year present to myself. At £19 not a bad price for a 1/32 scale Red Arrow Hawk.

And these which on inspection will require some fettling to make look anything like!
                          Do test pilots wear parachutes?
That's what I'm thinking as they are awful Luftwaffe!

                              Nice one Peter

I'll bookmark it as I'm still not clear on the differences between the Mk I and Mk II

I have done some little research on the K5054 prototype, and still have to figure out if the seat has a bucket for a parachute or not?
The coachwork will be the best as it was, at one point "made-over" by Rolls Royce engineers and all the rivets and panel gaps were filled and sanded for a Rolls Royce finish.

Look forward to your build blog, I'll have to wait to retire for mine

Something I always fancied having a go at a stray from the norm and at £2.50 still wrapped in a charity shop It would have been rude not to.Click image for larger version
