Thanks for the info Jon although if I ever get to the stage of putting an interior in I shall probably knock something together myself

      Hi all,

It’s been a mental couple months, but I’ve finally resurfaced from the pit of hospitality during the festive season.

Here’s a few acquisitions I made over the holidays. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year, and I can’t wait to see all of the builds that this year holds for us all!

My name is Ian and I am a plastic addict. It has been so long since I bought a kit I cant remember!!!
Some nice kits coming up on this thread.
Can I remind you all though that the chit chat is to be kept to a minimum. I know that it is not to bad at the moment but once it starts.......Some one has to pull the handbrake or it will just keep on getting the better of the thread.

The early production model only a few build. At least the hull is not warped ! Once again incorrect markings on the turret side.

Nice haul and sorry to hear about the Visa card Simon………………….
Only problem with this type of insulation is the corners of the boxes tend to dig in tender places - I use the reccomended method of nicking the insulation from the loft....

I've been using artists' masking fluid, but it seems to dry out in the jar very quickly , you have to pick off a thick dry layer at the top before getting to the useable stuff - you only seem to be able to use about 1/2 a jar! So, Wilder Quick Mask Red!

Nope this is my first bottle - I looked at other masks, including Maskol, Micro-Mask & Vallejo
I applied this to the dor glazing on the Dingo, about 11/2 hours ago - still a little tacky, but I probably used too much!Click image for larger version

                        Hi Pete
Apart from the colour is there and difference between the green and grey putty?

Not a thread I usually participate in

                          BUT

I have a slight change in the usual faire, which is bigger in real life than I had expected!

If I do get to retire this year, still under consultation, as I am still on a sick note with my new knee, I want to do something different.
I built my last aeroplane in 1969, then I discovered Airfix's 1:72 Stug III G in Woolworths for 3/6, which is 17 1/2p in new money.
I really want the 1:32 Revell Arado sea plane, which is the larger scale version of my last aeroplane built, but its proving a little elusive, I followed one on E- bay but £52 is too much, even for nostalgia.
                          I'll persevere
                          Steve H

                            Pete,
You will have to let me know how you get on with the putty as they have changed the formula and I don't like it at all.

Not sure why, but this appeals to me - patient stalking on ebay, and I pounced <£16 delivered - result! :thumb2:

I needed perforated plate for my Sherman Crab and found Aber had some. Then it was a matter of finding a stockist, at which point I decided to order some more things I needed or wanted

One tip: when ordering something in France, don’t confuse the French word clair with the English word clear … I now have a bottle of Tamiya light green instead of clear green
