Keeping postie fit, I had these delivered today from John at the shop.

Building up my stocks of the new AK paints

A cheap accesory kit that looked like it might come in useful for my current build

And a few scratchy bit. Never worked with brass so should be fun

And the biggie. I've seen a few of you recommend the Daylight desk lamps, so Zoƫ ordered this as a Fathers Day / Anniversary pressie

So far it seems miles better than the cheap LED battens I've been using. Super bright but not harsh, a much more natural colour, virtually no shadows, and has a great reach so I can move it anywhere on the bench, plus to the painting area at the side.

It's huge though, almost touching the ceiling!

Today the postie dropped off these two 'damaged' books, tbf cant see anything wrong with either off them except a bit of grime on the base of the spines.

do like your bench light Andy,
I have a 3ft,flurorescent up high which still dose not give the right light for me,

I've been using something similar to that for a year Monica, and it was always a bit of a juggle, moving the model to where the light was best but uncomfortable to work on.

I tried an IKEA desk lamp which was better for positioning but too narrow a source.

This seems to be ideal, apart from my son now wanting one for his Warhammer figures! :smiling5:

Great buys there andy , the light is very nice , any chance of a link to how much or where to get one , ive been thinking about upgrading my lighting for a while. The pic of the bench is interesting too , me being only a mile down the road from you , the obvious earthquake that did that to your bench must have missed me :smiling5:
Honestly though my bench is exactly the same glorious organised chaos , looks as if a howitzer shell has just landed :smiling5:
                        Regards Marie Kondo

I blame the fact that I had to move everything to get the new light in.... :smiling5:

I'm on my phone so links are a bit tricky, but Jim mentions a similar light here

The new version of that is called the Lumi. Zoƫ must have got mixed up and ordered me the higher spec Luminos, but I'm not complaining lol.
