It is flexible holder for my IPad. What’s that got to do with modeling I hear you ask. Well, I’m fed up with using optivisors so I am trying out using the magnifying glass app on my IPad
So far I am quite pleased
Peter
Thats a novel idea Peter.Im not a fan of Optivisors,The headband type gives me a headache and the glasses type with changeable lenses are ok but lenses fall out of mounting lug at times.

Good idea I thought you were going to use it to have the iPad more conveniently located to look at references, but this looks like a very good use for it too.

a table bracker eh - think it lost something in translation :smiling5:
I tried a similar thing a few years back with a usb microscope but it was an utter failure
At least this appears to give a reasonably clear picture - rubbish colour rendering though so no use for painting under
A delivery this morning from China, good job the seller used some decent packaging.

pr like me your postie or pacael guys just don,t care
Richard - i also have never found the head band type to be comfortable, possibly due to my wearing glasses.
Jakko - yes, good for holding references and it's also good for watching programmes off the Iplayer.
Neil - aren't all modellers plastic surgeons?
Simon - the colour in the photo is not representative, in reality the colours on the screen are spot on. I assume it is some reaction between the ipad screen and using my iphone for the photo. I don't -lan to use it much for painting, probably the only painting I do will use it for will probably be around the eyes.
Rick - yep, we all like a gadget, and I have far too many! Hopefully this one will be well used,
So as to not take up too much of this thread I will post details of how I get on with it on my WAAF thread.
A long story short, bought the He 219 from MBK for €180,95 delivered. 4 days later, an auction ran out in evilbay and I threw a bid down for €143,79 at the last 4 seconds (it stood at €92) and when the smoke cleared, I won it for €118 + 5,99 postage = €123,99. Sent my kit from MBK back for credit (refused delivery) and today the seller delivered! I'll be damned,

Upon going through the sprues, this popped out as a bonus,

The interior etch set in color. This sells for €23,95 itself. I felt like I had won the lottery as the whole shebang now was even cheaper!!!! Kit delivered for €100,04 and I can't stop dancing around the apartment. One last pic to show the details and thinking by Zoukei-Mura,

In the foam wrap is the included metal landing gear and to the left the pre-formed weight. It fits in the fuel tank below on the right. The fuel tank mounts right behind the cockpit so this puppy doesn't sit on it's butt. Man, I want to retire tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!.........
Prost
Allen, with a cold one in hand!!!
