I wasn't sure what to expect from these. The box art is less than inspiring!
Very nicely detailed and posed figures. They come with seperately moulded fur collars and chest pouches and finely detailed weapons. The Zil also looks good though maybe a bit basic.

A few little things through for me today. All to do with a planned Bf109 G6 nightfighter and winter scheme builds i have planned. On my last build i used the AIMS resin exhaust set. If i'm honest i wasn't impressed so i've decided to try out the Quickboost ones. Also got a Barracuda resin seat like last time. Impressed with it and was an excellent fit. FuG 217 J1 Resin aerials for the nightfighter scheme. Mask set from Montex for a winter scheme JG54 Bf109 G6 build i have planned.

It's only a tiddler, but at 1/144 large enough to make creating a sea a bit easier ( famous last words! )

                      I already have, kinda.

I'd probably have been better going for the earlier kits which have one piece bodies, rather than these which are in multiple parts that fit around the floor, rather than to each other. So first job is to temporarily construct them so I know how everything lines up and how I can get the floor in afterwards, then I can start chopping! I'm also hunting for accessories like wheels, which up to now look like they'll cost nearly as much as the whole kit!

I can see planning being the key to this, so I'm just fiddling around for now until my Spitfire is finished, then I can concentrate on it fully :smiling3:

Not much point in having loads of models if you don't have anything to glue them together..........................

Had to try a few places, before I could get the 25g size - either out of stock, or prices too high! ebay purchase eventually

Now some folks like it and some don't, but with 30 extra blades and 5 in the cutter itself, I had to give it a try. This must be an older model as it is very sturdily made with no flex at all out to 15 cm...………...

Now, if I could just get that Billy Preston song out of my head...……………………...………...………….....

Ooh! I always liked the Matchbox 1:32 scale planes, and though this one wasn’t that high on my wishlist when I was young(er ), I wouldn’t have minded building it back then.

Why do I get the impression they translated the English name straight to other languages without getting proper translators involved? In Dutch a “kompas mes” would be a compass (the navigation device) that has something to do with a knife — they were probably aiming for “kompasmes” without the space, but that would still be a knife that is or has to do with a navigation compass. I suspect in German “Kompass-Messer” means much the same as the (second, intended) Dutch name.

Anyway, I hope this thing works better for you than it has for me
