Afternoon all
So the 4th arrival today in as many days saw the following, with no complaints from my ever suffering wife.........

----------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to be dabbling a lot more with PE and so decided to splash out on some primer and a small PE bending tool.....
And also these. I first heard about them in late April (link HERE) and John started stocking them last week. The initial shots looked good, the reviews are unfailingly good and the reality is VERY nice indeed. The only other plastic kit that even comes close is the 1/76 Matchbox/Revell offering.
Single mould plastic hull, lots of detail, no obvious flash or other issues, a bit of PE, a couple of options on the decal front and even a metal barrel. Oh and John is selling them 10% under the RRP, even before the 5% discount.
Now my German forces will really have to watch out. A full troop of Comets is a whole different ball game to a troop of Shermans....

I've been watching evil bay for WWI vehicles to go with my 1/32 scale Tommy's war figures and I was originally going for a Model T Ford, but they were too expensive at the time, so I went for this.
Painted green it will be just the job for a staff car.
Now, does anyone know of a good source for PE wire-spoked wheels? I had a bit of a search yesterday but no luck so far.Comment

I was quite pleased on a modelling front but I suspect my German 1/72 ad-hoc battle group is not so keen on the idea. Panther v 75mm M4A4 Sherman no contest. Panther v Comet could go either way.......
Current plan is to do one for the SimonT Memorial GB. The others will probably done en masse, it's more efficient for me when it comes to getting the AB and booth out for painting.
Thanks for stopping buy.

You could always lace your own wheels..........Comment

Just landed, and fits my preference for quirky vehicles.

My first time with a Gecko kit, but there's plenty stuffed inside the box and at first glance seems well moulded & detailed.
And a figure set to go with it. Looks like there are different posing options, plenty of accessories, and even etch parts for the gun slings, antenna etc.

My brother used to be a paramedic and spent about half his service on what's called a "Hazardous Area Response Team". They had equipment and training to go where most paramedics and ambulances can't. One of the things he got to drive was something that looked very similar to your stretcher vehicle. Looking forward to seeing that hit the cutting mat!

And I have a combination of nothing on the bench, 12 days off work, and high level covid restrictions keeping me fairly house bound, so I should be starting very soon!Comment
