Blenheim Mk IV, Refuelling Set & Hudson - they really do bring back memories!! :tongue-out3:
These were some of the first kits I built, think I was about 6 or 7 at the time.
Used to get my "pocket" money and straight down to "Woolies" on a Saturday morning :thumb2::thumb2:

So neither of these is particularly spectacular in and of themselves but again firsts for me.
Now I'm doing more wingy things I thought I'd invest in some floor varnish for the canopies plus I know it can be used as a pre-decal coat - it apparently works the same was as the original Future/Klear or whatever else is known as. All I've got to do is to check how to use it through the AB......
Decided to invest in some IPA to give the models a pre-primer wipe down. Quicker than soap and water and no risk of residue left behind. Managed to get this in on the domestic budget, rather than the modelling one, as I'm also using it to thin out the rather gloopy hand wash the kids have to take to school. :smiling:

Hi Andrew
Another use for Klear is to gloss varnish gaming miniatures prior to final Matt varnishing. It is hard wearing so protects the paint if the (rather soft) Matt varnish gets worn off during handling in games. Basically, if your figures start going shiny after a while, you can just Matt varnish them again. Without the klear coat the paint will wear away with the Matt varnish, leading to a repaint.Comment
